Our Story

The London Community Dental Alliance came about in 2018 when Dr. Ken Wright gathered a group of community members who wanted to address the persistent barriers to dental care experienced by many Londoners. The Alliance was formally established in November of 2018 and is now a registered not-for-profit organization that manages London’s first community-based dental clinic, The Wright Clinic. The clinic receives most of its funding from grants, foundations and generous donations from private donors which have covered initial capital costs in building the clinic, along with operational costs including staffing and supplies.

The Wright Clinic opened its doors in April 2021. In the first 18 months of operation, the clinic has served over 625 unique clients and performed over 5000 procedures.

What makes the Wright Clinic unique is our commitment to accessible oral healthcare services and exceptional client care.

Our vision is a community where everyone has a right to optimal oral health and well-being.

Our mission is to provide accessible oral healthcare to those residing in Middlesex-London who face barriers, including those with housing insecurity and low income.

Our values include a focus on exceptional client care and a commitment to collaboration with our clients, community partners and stakeholders.

The Wright Clinic is managed by the London Community Dental Alliance, a group of dedicated board members from diverse backgrounds including dentistry, public health, community development, social services and primary care.
